Paint the house

We are painting the house.  OURSELVES!  It is not too bad and when I was working on the back of the house (where it is one story), it went really quickly.  But now, I can't reach as high so there is a line around the top of the house that is white.  So now, it is just weird.
Above is what the house used to look like.  This picture is a little old - say about 4 years but it was a white house with green shutters. Now it is starting to look like this . . .

Crazy!  The 1st picture looks beautiful - this one is a work in progress!  Wait till it is all done and THEN!  It will look great!
However, this picture is a great example of what I feel like my life is like right now - chaos, messy and nothing is completed.  Well, here's hoping that this gets done in the next month or two - although, according to the HOA -  I have a year to complete from the time I start.  Can I live like this for a year??? Could you???

What is in a name?

So, I had a blog.  I mean, I still do but I hated the title.  Then why did I pick it?  Because I am NOT creative.  Whoa, wait a minute.  I know, I have a lot of friends that are saying what is she talking about?  But, it is true.  I. am. not. creative.   I am just good at taking things and tweaking.  Or at following directions. Anyway, I hated the name.  Won't even type it.  So I asked a friend who has all these great names for blogs to help me come up with something (her blog is called http://lifewithoutpeanutbutter.com ) She also said that my previous blog title made me sound like a little old English lady.   Again, something I am not.  Anyway, this is what she came up with and it is PERFECT!  Ironic, humorous, and describes my life.  I love it!
Now, I just have to write.
Oh, and my van?  A beautiful slate colored 2010 Toyota Sienna named "Vanny" by my eldest.
This photo is when it was brand new.  Of course, now it has some scratches on the side from little children, been in an accident (caused by someone else not paying attention), has had milk spilled and flung around, traveled to other states and is wonderful!  I love my van and it is a good thing because we are going to drive this thing into the GROUND!
Sometimes, I still miss my cherry red Ford Focus - it was mine but I am so glad to have this behemoth to drive. I feel safe and when the kids get older, I can separate them more than I could in the Focus.  I think I am going to have to do that a lot and they are only 5 and 3.
Happy driving!
